f(x) members Amber, Krystal and Sulli have been diagnosed with Swine Flu.

On the 22nd, the three members felt symptoms of a cold, therefore they went to receive examinations at the hospital and were diagnosed with Swine Flu on the 23rd.

Luna and Victoria however have not been affected and are currently healthy.

f(x) will unfortunately be canceling their attendance at the K-Pop Night concert in Shanghai, China scheduled for November 25th.

I wish the 3 members a speedy recovery!!!!!

Having notched their first award for their new album promotions on Music Bank last week, could SS501 win it for the second week in a row?

There were two new entries in the top 3 this week for the K-Chart with Park Bom for You and I and 2PM with Tired of Waiting coming into the equation against SS501's Love Like This. Park Bom was not performing on the night.

And in the end, it was the SS501 boys who came out on top with their 2nd consecutive K-Chart win with a total of 10,813pts compared to 9,917pts and 7,523pts for 2PM and Park Bom respectively. Having been missing last week when they also won, the boys were finally around this time to claim their No.1 trophy.

The three members of TVXQ, Junsu, JaeJoong, and Micky, have expressed their thoughts and feelings about SM Entertainment's decision to cancel their upcoming concert in Shenzhen, China.

Their representative said, "The three members want to stand on stage as soon as possible."

He also added, "They said that they will perform at the concert in China if SME revealed their contract details. However, they are very disappointed that SME decided to cancel the concert without even discussing or attempting to show the contract."

SS501 grabs K-Chart win with “Love Like This”!!!!!!

With an impressive haul of awards since beginning Ring Ding Dong promotions, could SHINee keep their run going, having won in the last two weeks?

The contenders this week on Music Bank saw a slight change, with Baek Ji Young coming into the Top 3 with her IRIS OST song, Don't Forget Me. SHINee and SS501 continued their third week of competition against each other with Ring Ding Dong and Love Like This respectively. SS501 was once again not performing on the night.

And in the end, it was SS501 who won their first award since starting their Love Like This promotions as they won the K-Chart with an impressive points total of 11k+ compared to 7k+ each for SHINee and Baek Ji Young.

As SS501 was currently in Shanghai for their concert tour, a phone call was made to inform them and they thanked their fans for their support with much joy.

Who would have thought that SS501 leader Kim Hyun Joong had intially started out as bassist in a rock band? Hard to believe it, but it's definitely not a joke! On the MBC program "The Star Secret," footage of his 2003 youth band performing at a festival celebration will be revealed for the very first time.

Back in the day, this rock group had established themselves so well that the members were invited to perform at various competitions and festivals around their area. The leader of the band was interviewed and fondly recalled how Kim Hyun Joong's charms and music abilities were well beyond his years. The guitarist of another rock band,N.E.X.T., also praised the idol for his natural and confident performance abilities on stage, proving that he was a man of endless potential.

SHINee to perform as 4-member group on Music Bank!

SHINee will be performing as a 4-member group on the 13th November episode of Music Bank.

Having seen Jonghyun and Onew come down with swine flu simultaneously, Super Junior's Yesung and Leeteuk came in as replacements on Music Bank and Inkigayo respectively last week.

The other three SHINee members Key, Minho and Taemin were also tested for precaution measures but thankfully, none of them tested positive for it.

But with Onew still not fit enough to perform, it was decided that SHINee will perform with just 4 members tonight. An official said, "Onew is recovering well from his illness but he's not fit enough to return to the stage as yet." He will return to the hospital for another checkup and if everything goes right, he should be passed fully fit at the end of today.

SHU-I returs with "Save Me"

The rookie male idol group, SHU-I (So Hot Union of Idols) are ready to continue their activities with a brand new song,Save Me. After dropping the love BOMBS to the fangirls' hearts, they are now asking to be saved? Corny joke aside, let's dig in a little deeper on what they are now up to.

These newborn baby idols had debuted with their first song, BOMB BOMB BOMB on September 18th, and was successful enough to gain the title of the November Power Rookie given by the Korean Creative Content Agency. The quintets have have gone through a 180 degrees transformation for their comeback- and yes, they are still hotter than ever. Their new song is already being highly anticipated with their catchy tune and attracting lyrics written by a well-known songwriter, Kim Hyung Kyu

SHU-I expressed,

"Through our follow-up song, Save Me, we would like to present a new unique style to the fans, SHU-I style. Our goal is to become a long-living idol group accepted by the audience for our talent. We hope this song can really capture the fans' love."

BoA the producer?

2010 will mark the 10th year that BoA has been in the music scene, and this time around, she will be trying her hand at producing.

According to a source from SM Entertainment, BoA contributed to the production of the music for her 7th Japanese album, which will be released on January 13, 2010. This will be the first time BoA will be involved in producing the album since her debut in 2000.

BoA also plans to include songs she composed herself in the next album along with her current Japanese single “Bump Bump!” and her soon-to-be-released single, “White Wishes.”

BoA, who released a self-titled album “BoA” in the American market earlier this year, has been keeping herself busy in Japan promoting her latest single and preparing for her upcoming concert, 'BoA The Live 2009 Xmas.' The concert will be held on December 4~5 at the Tokyo International Forum Hall.

In regards to BoA’s potential comeback to the Korean music scene in 2010, the source stated: “No plans have been finalized as of yet.”

4minute's charismatic rapper HyunA has just released a Selca series and she is absolutely adorable! Check out the shots and translations of her Selca stories below! HyunA started off with a brief introduction:

"Hello. I'm HyunA from the group 4minute. I'm having a very happy time lately. Although I'm not able to sleep 3 hours a day due to my busy schedule, when I think about the 1 year and 6 months of blank time, you wouldn't know how happy and precious it is for me to be able to sing and dance in front of you. Because I didn't have much experience other than the two training periods, the truth is, I was extremely nervous and had a great deal of psychological burden about returning on stage. For 2 weeks, I took a camera around with me, which contains my daily activities. I have even included a photo of myself from my Wonder Girls days to present to you."

1. A shot with member Gayoon(left). During a commercial break on a live radio broadcast our playful sides came out. Looking good with her poop hair?(bun) because of her small face, Gayoon unnie is a best friend.
2. During my Wonder Girls days. Do I look younger than now? I took this shot with no makeup. With friends during my break at school, I took this photo with my cellphone.
3. Singing during my Wonder Girls days. Disappointingly dropped out of Wonder Girls, but Sunye unnie and Sohee, you know that I am very thankful right?
4. A shot from jeans brand TBJ's photoshoot. When taking a photo with jeans, you need to get on your knees and look slightly behind to look sexy. Accent your hips and thighs and you can bring life to your S-line.

5. Last week, I went to down to a nursing center in Kangwondo. On this day in Kangwondo, the rain turned into heavy snow. It was the first snow I've had contact with this year. I took a picture with a little boy that I got close with while filming the program.
6. Fun and enjoyable lunch-time ^^. Today's server is me, HyunA. For some reason, the food that I ate with the kids here was really good. Although the cold weather had my hands frozen all day, my heart was very warm. I feel fulfilled~ today's work is done...

Brown Eyed Girls' Narsha (front left), wearing black eyeglasses, and T-ara's Hyomin are preparing for rice plant cutting. If it weren't for the parachute pants, the photos would have looked nice in a pictorial.

The image during the title activity. Nam Hee Seok, Kim Tae Woo oppa and the group took a pose. Their poses are full of playfulness and fun to look at. Because of Kim Shin Young unni and Nam Hee Seok oppa, there is no day of filming that is void of laughter.

NEW BAND *A-Force

One of the most well-known dancers in Korea, Popping HyunJoon has made a project group called A-FORCE. Their album jacket photos have been released and its gaining lots of attention from netizens.

A-Force is not only gaining fame in Korea, but also in China and Southeast Asia. For Poppin Hyunjoon to become a singer, he had picked hardworking trainees Surin, Victoria, Eun Byul, and Sooah (who released a trot single awhile back). This is an unusual setup of members as there are 4 girls and 1 guy (hella lucky guy).

Surin and Victoria are Star Empire trainees (same company as Child of Empire) and already have a good amount of experience. They were supposed to be in a 9 member girl group that Star Empire is creating, but who knows now. Surin had experience in musicals, Rocky Horrow Show and Woman while Victoria had a feature in a song with V.O.S Kim Kyung Rok.

A company representative stated:

"A-FORCE is motivated by a famous German singer, Bony M.. They will be a performance and vocal group and will not only perform in Korea, but also in China, Thailand, and other Asian countries."

Their new song will be called Wonder Woman produced by the Brave Brothers. The first live performance of Wonder Woman will be on KBS Music Bank tomorrow.

What will become of TVXQ?

SM Entertainment's proposed D-Day is now here (November 12th, 2009), but it seems the legal battle between SM and the three TVXQ members, Xiah Junsu,Micky Yoochun and Youngwoong Jaejoong is going nowhere.

As of now, the three members and SM Entertainment have been unable to come to an agreement. Both parties are holding firm to their demands, but time is running out. SM Entertainment gave the three members a deadline (today), to make a decision and agree to their guidelines, however there has been no response.

Both parties have been extremely cautious with their words and have not revealed much information. When questioned about the current situation, the three members' lawyer Lim Sang Hyuk stated:

"Other than what is already known, there are no other details."

SM Entertainment stated:

"We have not yet received a response from the three members."

With both parties unwilling to budge, the situation has become increasingly grim for TVXQ fans. It doesn't look like an agreement will be made today, which makes us all wonder what will become of TVXQ. Stay tuned as more developments roll in.

BoA return with BUMP BUMP!

Eight months after her last Japanese single, followed by her American debut, BoA is ready to unleash her 28th Japanese single, BUMP BUMP!, featuring VERBAL on 28th October. Bump Bump! is said to be a dance song with a punky beat.

Pictures of her album jacket for this new single were released recently on her official Japanese website, which sees BoA with a tomboyish concept, showing wild sexy charisma. It was also noted that BoA did not don a wig, but had actually cut her hair short for this release, for the first time in 9 years since her debut.

Reported back in September that BoA was going to sing for a Japanese RPG game, Tales of Grace.

With the Japanese version of the game already out, the theme song, White Wishes has now been released too. Japanese game soundtracks have always been known to have beautiful melodies and it's the same for BoA.

Looks like a perfect combination to get the game where you can go on a quest, kill monsters and listen to BoA at the same time.

The colorful girls of Rainbow gave us all an eyeful of themselves with the release of their teaser just a few days ago, but now the teasing ceases and hotness ensues as these ladies have finally released the MV for their debut track!

Their title track Gossip Girl is a pop-tastic dance track with a sprinkle of Engrish and the MV is loaded with various close-ups of seven very pretty ladies. It's quite a feast for the eyes and the ears, perhaps enough to keep one's attention throughout this influx of girl groups. Their gorgeous looks, catchy moves and addicting sound, plus the lucky count of seven members just might help these girls successfully claim the prestigious title of the second Fin.K.L.

Kara has been very successful with endorsements in the last few months. During the attack of the girl groups, Kara was able to hold their ground and gain lots of popularity. And what comes with popularity in Korea? CF's.

In a single month, Kara signed 4-5 endorsement deals on top of the 4 endorsements they already had under their belt. That totals to around 8 or 9 endorsements since their comeback which was just during the recent summer.

They've endorsed various things such as a shoe brand, a chicken company, a ramen company, an online game, a brand of pizza, and more. If you live in Korea, you will literally see Kara everywhere.

One of Kara's representatives said:

"After Chuseok, the CF deals just kept coming in. We've chosen the ones that apply to Kara's image and don't interfere with their schedule. We have been getting a lot of CF deals, right now we have 4-5 CF deals ahead of us and I'm sure more will come."

Kara planned to make a comeback in November but it has been delayed because of their busy schedule including these endorsements.

Wow, let's just hope Rainbow follows in their footsteps.

BIG day for the Idols!

Yesterday, we reported that it was exam time for our idols, and the big day is here!

Today, 2AM's Jung Jin Woon, 4Minute's Jeon Jiyoonand Heo Gayoon, SHINee's Minho, FT Island's Jae Jinand BEAST's Yong Jun Hyung, Jang Hyun Seung, Lee Ki Gwang, and Son Dong Woon, will all be taking their college entrance exams.

Fellow members of these idol groups all wished them luck with encouraging messages through their mini-homepages.

4Minute's youngin' Kwon Sohyun wrote on her mini-hompy:

"Heo-ga-ga-ga-ga (Heo Gayoon) and Junglasses (Jeon Jiyoon) unnies, do well on your exam. This very nice Kwon Sohyun will be cheering for you two. Exam hwaiting! 4Minute hwaiting! For me... graduation exam hwaiting!"

As well as leaving words of encouragement for her fellow members, Kwon Sohyun also cheered for her BEAST family members. For the four BEAST members who are taking this test, she wrote:

"Do well on your exams and I will cheer for you BEAST oppas."

On BEAST Yoon Doo Joon's mini-hompy, he jokingly stated:

"Jun Hyung, Hyung Seung, Ki Gwang, Dong Woon, Gayoon, and Jiyoon, please do not sleep and finish the exam. I'm so worried that I can't even sleep. Hwaiting!"

BEAST's Yang Yo Sup also cheered on his fellow family members by writing:

Earlier today at the 2009 Style Icon Awards, SS501 leader and Boys Over Flowers star Kim Hyun Joong won the award for most popular idol.

When he went up to the podium to receive the award he was asked by the presenter to be kissed on her cheek and then on her lips! Sounds a bit scandalous? Well, it wasn't! Instead, it was actually very innocent because the young lady that asked for the kiss was an adorable child actress (suggestion by the older lady presenter).

SS501 leader Kim Hyun Joong who showed off his acting skills or lack thereof on Boys Over Flowers is rumored to star in another Japanese drama remake (or possibly movie) titled You're My Pet.

This drama better known as Kimi wa petto in Japan, was a very popular drama in 2003 and originally based off a manga (comic). The basic premise is that of a female editor (Su-Ae playing Ji Eun Ee) at a fashion magazine whom finds a good looking young man that ran away from home (Kim Hyun Joong playing Kang In Ho). When she finds him, she invites him to live with her in her home and she calls him "her pet."

Since this drama (or rumored movie) lacks the star power of an F4, I don't know if it'll be really popular. But I'm curious to see if Kim Hyun Joong will improve on his acting skills from Boys Over Flowers. Some of his scenes were cringe-worthy at times so I hope he gets a lot better. It's that time of the year: EXAM TIME!

On the 12th of November, the 3rd year High School students will be taking their "sooneung (수능)" which is equivalent to the SAT's. Most students have been preparing for this test all year (more like all their lives), and the young celebrity idols are no exception to this population.

So, who's taking the test?

2AM's Jung Jin Woon, 4Minute's Jeon Ji Yoon and Heo Ga Yoon, SHINee'sMinho, and FT Island's Jae Jin are only some of the idols in the bunch.

4 out of 6 members of the rookie group, BEAST, Yong Jun Hyung, Jang Hyun Seung, Lee Ki Gwang, and Son Dong Woon, will be taking the test.

2NE1's CL should be taking the exam, however, she will not because she is very occupied with 2NE1's upcoming album. Also, because of the busy schedules of Kara's Nicole and Goo Hara, they will not be taking the exam. Nicole, who does not have a Korean high school diploma because she came from America, is preparing to take thequalification exam (검정고시) which is taken by those who do not have a high school diploma to get into college.

On the other hand, many celebrities are getting recruited from colleges these days.

Recently, Girl's Generation's Yuri, and Big Bang's Seung Ri were accepted into JoongAng University and DongGuk University's School of Theater and Film. Also, Girl's Generation's Seohyun, and Son Dambi were admitted into other prestigious schools.

Will this year's applicants have as much success as the previous year's?
